Hi, I’m Maeve!
I’m so pleased you came by. I started this blog to document my life as I transition into a full-time writer and intuitive encourager. I am a mother of two with a passion for family, nature, writing and encouraging people. I love uplifting people and lending my talents to ushering the world into a state of natural world peace.
About Me
I’m from a military family and was raised in the South and my country roots still run deep. I come from a large family and I live for the noise of a house full of love and laughter.
I am blessed with two children and a few fur friends. I currently call an 80 year old farmhouse home. She’s far from my “dream home”, but she is lovely and charming and I get to build my dream life within her walls. I get to dabble in gardening and am looking forward to having a mini food forest filled with a variety of fruits and vegetables. I am so fortunate to be right where I am along this journey.
What I Love
I love to learn. My background is in mental health, including a doctorate in community care and counseling. I love to learn about people and how to help them. Working in the field, I quickly realized that I wanted to reach people in unique ways that didn’t line up with standardized care models.
Simply put: I don’t want any limitations on how I can help people thrive.
My creative passion started much earlier when I found myself reading any book I could find. At the time it was mostly Dean Koontz and Danielle Steel thanks to my mother’s bookshelf. When she discovered my love of reading, she quickly bought me the best-selling book collection she could find: Harry Potter.
I knew then that I wanted to be a best-selling author.
I love spending time with my family, reading, writing and working with my hands. I also love all things natural. From my hair, to home remedies, I like to keep it simple and as natural as possible. The beauty of simplicity is often overlooked or taken for granted. I’m thankful to get back to my country roots and slow down to focus on what matters.
I enjoy reading tarot cards and tapping into intuitive practices to help me reach others and increase my awareness of all of the divine help and support available. I am deeply interested in the study of ancient spiritual and medicinal practices and welcome any knowledge I uncover as I tap into my spiritual roots.
I intend to spend this time growing in love, intuition, compassion and creativity. I look forward to sharing how I evolve as a mother, helper, encourager and writer.
